Handkerchief Tree

Common Name: Handkerchief Tree

Scientific Name: Maniltoa browneoides

Points of Interest:
Its common name is attributed to its young leaves which are light green in color and resemble pieces of handkerchief hung on the tree. Its timber is relatively strong and sturdy and is generally used for construction, furniture, veneer and charcoal.
