Points of Interest:
Sea grapes are commonly planted along the seaside and on coastal dunes, where they help to prevent soil erosion and also act as wind and salt breaks. They are planted as ornamental shade trees in inland parks and even small gardens.
The fruits are sometimes used to prepare jellies and wine-like drinks.
The wood can be used for carving.
